A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Saturday between Shourabh College of Veterinary Science, Kheda, Hindaun City, and the Jodhpur-based Guardian of Forest Society, with the objective of promoting environmental conservation and providing practical training opportunities to students.
First external MoU signed by the collegeStudents graduating from the college will have the opportunity to undertake internships through the Guardian of Forest Society.
The college will provide land to the Society for dense plantation and the cultivation of various medicinal plants.
The initiative aims not only to contribute towards environmental conservation but also to provide students with practical knowledge and exposure related to nature, plantation activities and medicinal plants.
"This is the first MoU signed by the college with an external organization/agency. The MoU will provide mutual benefits to both the college and the Guardian of Forest Society, while creating new opportunities for students in the areas of internships, field exposure and practical learning."
The MoU was signed on behalf of the college by Shri Mahesh Singh Beniwal, Secretary, Rajasthan Dehली Education Society, and on behalf of the Guardian of Forest Society by its President, Dr. Sudha Samarwar. To mark the commencement of the collaboration, Dr. Sudha Samarwar also participated in a symbolic plantation drive on the college campus.

On the occasion, Professor (Dr.) Nalini Kataria, Dr. Saurabh Singh Singhal, Priyanshi Dadhich, along with faculty members and students of the college, were present.
The MoU marks an important step towards strengthening environmental sustainability, practical education and experiential learning, while fostering meaningful collaboration between academic institutions and organizations working for environmental conservation.
